Multiple footbath basins are set into the wooden deck, making it easy to drop in during a walk or while travelling through the area. There is no need to worry if you have not brought a towel to dry off; a vending machine on site sells boxed towels for spontaneous visits. Benches are provided around the deck, and the facility includes wheelchair-accessible entrances and toilets.

Open from early morning until late at night, the deck is pleasant under crisp blue daytime skies and takes on a distinctly special mood once night falls and the airfield lights come alive.
